Experiencing Dewey: Insights for Today's Classrooms

Second Edition

Welcome to our site. We are using this space to organize new and revised contributions to our book! We hope that you will consider making a contribution to the new volume.

Here are few highlights regarding the changes we're making:
  • We are revising the sections to reflect the changes in schools since 2005
  • We are adding a new section on accountability.
  • We are adding a teaching resource as a separate volume that will provide instructional support and activities to help instructors use the book more effectively, particularly in undergraduate classrooms.

Former Contributors:

You may indicate on the pages linked below whether you wish to keep your entry or whether you wish to revise the same entry by putting a notation by your name. Please email us through this site or at dadairbreault@gmail.com to confirm your choice, and we will respond with a confirmation.

If you wish to delete your current entry and write another, please indicate that on the tables as well as through an email to us.

If you wish to add another quote not provided on the table, then please add it as part of the table or below the table to show what you are choosing for your response.

We are trying to limit each section to no more than ten reflections (15 for Democratic Citizenship), so please keep that in mind while making your selection. We have the number of entries available for each section listed in pink on the section's page.

New Contributors

Please indicate your first choice of quote on the table provided for your preferred section. If we did not express a specific section in our invitation to you, then you may choose among those provided. If we feel that we have too many contributions in a section, we will contact you to ask you to consider another quote and section.

Please email us through dadairbreault@gmail.com to confirm you choice, and we will respond with a confirmation.

If you wish to add another quote not provided on the table, then please add it as part of the table or below the table to show what you are choosing for your response.

4.
